Evidence Subclustering of the identified MNs revealed six clades (Fig. 4C) Clades MN.2 and MN.3 comprised neurogenic progenitors, because cells in these clades expressed the progenitor markers Sox2, Hes5 and Olig2 (clade MN.3), or Hes6, Neurog2 and Neurod4 (clade MN.2) and did not express substantial levels of the vesicular acetylcholine transporter Slc18a3.
