In allstages, we identified a small number of cells that did not express severalmarkers of TE neurons (Wnt4, Wnt10, Fs, dimm) but expressed Imp, which is not expressed in the rest of the TE cluster.Analysis of the genes that were differentially expressed betweenthe two TE clusters revealed that only one of the clusters expressedWnt4 whereas the other expressed Wnt10. Indeed, Wnt4-Gal4was only expressed in the ventral cluster of TE neurons (Fig. 2e), which we named TEv; the Wnt10+ cluster was named TEd. |
