Evidence | Any extracardiac tissue was removed, and hearts were finely minced. In preliminary experiments, we determined that tissue digestion using Collagenase type I (MilliporeSigma; catalog C0130) affected the expression of the B cell surface markers CD21 and CD23, whereas the use of purified Collagenase (Worthington; catalog LS005277) resulted in the preservation of these molecules (Supplemental Figure 1). |
