Evidence | By examining gene signatures, these five populations were assigned to ectoderm, endothelium, erythrocytes and other blood cells, with the largest cluster representing mesenchyme (Fig. 1B). The red blood cell cluster had highly specific markers of erythrocytes, including genes for haem synthesis (Alas2, Alad) and globins (Hbq1b, Hba-x, Hbb-y). |
